Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

A recent gathering in Madrid welcomed faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to reflect on the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, organised by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, highlighted dialogue, tolerance and mutual understanding. The round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, a specialist from the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers offered personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how education can help build more inclusive communities.

During the event, participants addressed themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when rooted in respect for human rights.
